I love this time of year!

Fall is my favorite season. I am not a fan of very hot weather. I am not a fan of very cold weather. I am all about happy mediums, so this time of year is just my cup of tea. I love the crisp air, apple pie, gorgeous colours, wood smoke, rainy days, and trips to the orchard and pumpkin patch. The Saint John River Valley, where we call home, is famous for its incredible autumn foliage. This is also my favorite time of year to take pictures. Due to me being off my feet for most of September, I haven't had a chance to break out our new camera and get outside... I'm hoping to get some photos this weekend if the weather allows. In the meantime, allow me to share a few "oldies but goodies" from previous years! These photos are from 2007 and 2008. The river is near my parents' house in the Miramichi. The "Mighty Miramichi" river is known for its salmon fishing, and its breathtaking beauty. There is a foot bridge over the river and it is one of the boys' favorite places to visit. We have taken many a walk to the bridge to throw mini marshmallows down to the fish waiting below. The boys get a kick out of watching them jump out of the water to eat the marshmallows. They have also discovered the fish will jump for pretty much anything, including a little boy's spit. Boys will be boys! Here are a few more random fall pictures for your viewing pleasure...
I hope you have enjoyed my little photo tour of our fall colours. If all goes well, I will have new photos to share soon!

  1. Beautiful pictures. Have to say I miss the Fall foliage. Here everything is pretty much brown in the Fall. Not enough rain during the summer. The spring, however, is gorgeous as it rains most of the Winter. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I do love fall. Of course in summer, I love summer and in spring it is spring that is best. But it is hard to beat the colors of an east coast fall. The crisp air is so refreshing after the steamy summer and the smells, "Magnifico!"

I seem to have missed the reason you were laid up in September. Probably has something to do with being away most of the month. I hope all is well and you are up and back to full mobility now.

    Hugs
