The ABC's of Me

I usually refrain from doing these surveys, as I think I'm a bit of a boring person and who could possibly want to know what my pet peeves and favourite colours are??? But my dear friends Kat and Diann obviously cared enough to tag me, so here goes nothing!

Age: 32, but I'm an old soul!
Bed size: queen
Chore you hate: folding laundry
Dogs or Cats: neither, I'm allergic to both!
Dog's name: No current dog, childhood dogs included: Tippy, Sophie, some other one I can't remember (obviously left a lasting impression - mangy little grey thing!), and Ginger.
Essential start you day item: coffee, coffee and coffee.
Favorite color: sage
Gold or silver: white gold! I like to be difficult. ;)
Height: 5' 7.5"
Instruments you've played: I took piano lessons for 13 years. I also played saxophone (Tenor and alto) in jr. high and high school, and tin whistle on the side.
I am: slightly confused, most of the time!
Job Title: CEO of Rempel Family Enterprises
Kids: No thanks, I've got a couple already... Elijah (almost 8) and Ezekiel (4)
Loud or Quiet: definitely quiet!
Living arrangements: we own a bungalow with two apartments in the basement that we rent to tenants.
Married? yes, 9 years
Mom's name: is that me, or MY mother? See... slightly confused most of the time. ;)
Nicknames: Heidi-Jo, Heid
Overnight hospital stay: let's see... overnight adenoidectomy at age 12, two weeks for pneumonia at age 18, overnight for pneumonia at age 18, a few days for an appendectomy 5 weeks before my wedding, 4 days with Elijah and a week with Ezekiel (had to go in early with high bp/low platelets).
Pet peeve: Rudeness/disrespect!
Quote from a movie: "Freedom!!"
Right or Left handed: Right handed.
Siblings: Adam, 29
Time you wake up Any time after 3 AM... I'm an insomniac!
Underwear: yes, please!
Vegetable you don't like: Are mushrooms a vegetable?
Ways you run late: I don't, usually... I hate being late!
X- rays you've had: various knee and ankle xrays, my left pinky, and lungs.
Yummy food you make: rhubarb coffee cake, chicken soup, apple platz
Zoo favorite: giraffes, only the coolest animal ever!

And this is when you discover what a loser I am... I really don't have anyone to tag except for my friend Pamela, because I just started this blog recently and have very few followers! I could tag Hope as well, but just dropped by her blog and of course, she's already been tagged. Pamela, I don't know if you have any rules over at fredkid about what sort of things you're allowed to post, but consider yourself tagged! ;)

  2. You are anything but a boring person, if only by virtue that you are a friend of mine! (Ha... I am not really that stuck on myself, but I thought it was a funny thing to say). Thanks for playing along.

I keep forgetting to tell you... somewhere you commented and said how you spell honoured with a U. Which my spell check hates. I often spell many words the same way. Both are considered correct here, as in Saviour (my head hurts too much to think of anymore right now) but I prefer the way it looks and since we have always used the King James Bible, it seems more natural to me.

It seems funny that all these years I have known you I never knew your brother's name was Adam! But I did know you hate mushrooms. Should I share that story here on the WWW? Oh, it is so funny. Please say yes!

    Love,

    Kat

  3. I have no recollection of a mushroom story... no wonder you think I'm funnier than I do! I seem to have forgotten all the funny stuff. So please, enlighten me, maybe I'll think it's funny too. ;)

  4. Hey Miss Heidi!

I'm Brianna, Kat's second daughter. I remember when you visited us, and I remember the mushroom story. I won't tell you though because Mom is better at tell stories then I am...but yes it was funny.

Glad to see you've joined us in blog world! Mom said that you had, but I haven't had time to stop by until now.

Oh, and I love the picture on you header. What cute little guys you have there!

  5. Considering you are so talented with musical instruments, ti was considerate of you to allow me to "toot my own horn". ☺

I agree with Kat; I prefer the King James spelling of Saviour, after all...that is written on good authority. I also like to spell blonde with an "e", because I think it is prettier even if the spell check always wants to correct it...it is, after all, an excepted alternate spelling of blond, even if it is NOT the preferred spelling.

I like your comment for your preference of white gold...I have always wondered why anyone would were white gold instead of just wearing silver because I cannot tell the difference in them, and I like gold. Of course, I don't really think that you like white gold just to be difficult. ☺

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
    ♥Hope

  6. OK, Heidi. You asked for it. Someday soon, I will be posting that mushroom story on my blog... I can not believe you can not remember it. It is legendary around here. My kids who weren't even alive when it happened tell the story to strangers!
